Custom Painted Skateboard Information and Process

Custom painted skateboard commissions are open! Each board is unique and is hand painted by me in acrylic paint and takes approximately 6 weeks to complete (but may take more or less time depending on the complexity and number of commissions I am working on).
Skateboard commissions start at C$250 per board and may increase depending on the complexity of the design we agree upon.
PAYMENT AND DRAWING SCHEDULE
(Payments may be made via Square, e-transfer or cash):
Initial Deposit (35%)
Sketch Completed (40%)
Final Delivery (25%)
If I am unable to complete your commission for any reason, I will refund your deposit and any funds you may have paid up until that point.
If at any point you choose to cancel the commission and forfeit the work done so far, any payments already made are non-refundable.
If at any point you fail to make a payment or respond to sketch or status updates for longer than one month, I may consider the commission void, and further work will require renegotiation.
FINISHED PIECE
Once completed, your skateboard will be sealed with a scratch and water-resistant sealant. The skateboard is an art piece and is not intended to be skated on; doing so will damage the paint, and my work is not guaranteed at that point.
PROCESS
I am currently interested in Japanese and American Traditional tattoo-style art, and will be focusing on those art styles for all commissions at this time. If you have a specific subject or theme in mind for your board, please let me know, and I will work to incorporate it into either a Japanese or Trad style art piece.
Please email me any reference pictures/photos you have, e.g. a photo you like of the subject, any details of color palette, general atmosphere or mood, etc. Please do not send any AI-generated references; I implore you to read up on the environmental and ethical repercussions of AI use.
Once we’ve solidified a plan, you will pay me 35% of the overall total of the piece, and I will then move on to the sketching phase.
During the sketching phase, I’ll update you with my progress and you’re welcome to provide feedback on any composition changes at this point.
Once the sketch is completed and approved by you, you will pay me the next 40% of the overall cost (for a total of 75% so far), and I will move on to prepping and painting the board.
Once I have completed the painting, I will send you a low resolution, watermarked photo of the board and you will send me the final 25%, for a total of 100%. I will then seal the board, and we will make arrangements for the delivery of your final piece! Shipping will be at your expense; local pick up is free.
